Mission Statement

Loving Saddles Farm, Inc. Rescue, Rehabilitation and Sanctuary is a non-profit 501c(3) incorporation located in IL. Loving Saddles Farm is a volunteer based all breed horse rescue. The horses rely entirely on your donations and your help is urgently needed. Rescuing and rehabilitating our beloved equine friends is an incredibly rewarding experience. However, it is also expensive and time consuming. Our goal is to assist horses through surrenders/neglect cases, local auctions outbidding kill-buyers, buying sick or injured and purchasing directly out of the kill pens sometimes literally moments before they are shipped to slaughter. With generous donations we can assisted thoroughbreds and standardbreds off the track, quarter horses, morgans, saddlebreds, paints, mustangs, donkeys, mules, miniatures drafts, ponies and PMU horses , literally thousands of lives can been saved. It is only through your contributions that we will be able to save the horses. Please help them with your tax deductible donation today. "Healing Horses". We will welcome home any equines that are no longer needed, wanted or useful to their owners and give them a home where they ARE wanted, needed and useful. Loving Saddles Farm will rescue horses from being auctioned for slaughter, take custody of horses abandoned by their owners, and give them a permanent home. We will rehabilitate and train horses for use as riding horses and therapy horses available to the general public. Children placed in foster care will be given an opportunity to assist in the rescue and rehabilitation efforts of the organization, and will be educated with regard to the preventing cruelty to animals and with regard to animal husbandry. The purpose of Loving Saddles Farm is exclusively charitable. . Our main mission is to care for horses. Our horses will have run-in stalls and large paddocks and turn-outs, clean, healthy surroundings, appropriate food, good water at all times, veterinary care, farrier care, exercise when appropriate, and the attention of a live-in Barn Manager (and many volunteers).

The Farm will be open to abused and neglected children in foster care. These children will be given Horse Therapy. They will be taught to love and care for the horses and in return the childen will be loved and learn to trust again.

All of the horses brought to the Shelter will live out thier lives in our sanctuary. The staff of Loving Saddles Farm Horse Shelter will investigate all reports of abuse and neglect, and will make every effort to improve a situation instead of removing a horse from his guardian, only taking a horse into the Shelter if such efforts fail.
